Become part of an enthusiastic community that shares your passion. Volunteers are critical in all parts of Boyd Lake State Park. Volunteer today!
Help Boyd Lake staff check boats for any Aquatic Nuisance Species (ANS). Inspection and Decontamination training and park equipment will be provided. Training consists of "in-person" or online "Zoom-type" training about how to inspect and decontaminate boats for all Aquatic Nuisance Species (ANS), including zebra and quagga mussels, mudsnails, plants, etc.
Inspectors should be comfortable looking at boats and interiors of boats, possibly getting wet (from decontamination procedures), walking, bending over to look in engines/ compartments, talking with boaters, using equipment with provided PPE, writing receipts, using a CPW tablet or computer for simple data entry.

Hello! Come volunteer at our entrance gate and connect with (almost) all visitors that enter the park. One of the most important people at our park is the entrance station staff! You are the "front lines" of the park and you will share information about the area, the park, and the wonderful activities to do at the park.
You will sell passes, give out maps, give friendly waves to our regular visitors that stop by!
Help support Boyd Lake with varoius projects! General help around the park is needed regarding trash pick-up, help with parking and capacity assistance on busy days and holidays, and more!

With a likelihood to extend into the spring. Local volunteers from the community are encouraged, but a campsite could be provided out-of-towners in exchange for service, if needed.
