Description:

Assist Ridgway State Park with a variety of clerical, general office support duties, or fee collection. This position is perfect for a volunteer who enjoys interacting with people, has good customer service and communication skills, and who enjoys working in a retail sales environment.

Responsibilities:

• Answer phones
• Assist visitors
• Sell park passes
• Retail sales
• Restocking inventory
• Other tasks as assigned

Elevation: 6800 feet

Looking for 10 host for the 2023 season! Couples/Pairs preferred.  Individuals, families with children, and people who are still working/in their careers (e.g. working remotely) will still be considered. Hosts are permitted to have pets.

 

Time Commitment:

24 hours per week per person, April - October.

Minimum time commitment: 2 months

Desired time commitment: 2-5 months

Volunteer Benefits:

Sweeping views of the San Juan and Cimarron mountain ranges in addition to close proximity to Ouray and Telluride.

Amenities:

In exchange for volunteer service, hosts receive a free, full hookup campsite in a beautiful location! Campsites include water, sewage, electric (50 amp), and cell service
