Description:

Join the team at this beautiful state park! Known for our mountain beauty within an hour of Denver, this opportunity is not to be missed!

Responsibilities:

• Clean and tidy campsites (empty firepits, wipe down tables, sweep tent pads, etc)
• Clean and maintain restrooms, campsites, and grounds
• Provide excellent customer service to the public
• Assist in the campground office when needed (selling passes and retail products)
• Other projects based on individual skills

Elevation:

Please note that this is a high mountain park with altitudes ranging from 8,200 to 10,459 feet. These host positions are physically demanding due to the type of tasks and terrain at altitude.

Looking for 4 hosts to fill in our 2025 season!

Pairs, families with children, and people who are still working/in their careers (e.g. working remotely) are welcome to apply. Hosts are welcome to have pets.

Time Commitment:

Approximately 20 hours per week per person, May - October

Minimum time commitment:

5 months

Golden Gate Canyon State Park offers beautiful host sites only 30 minutes from Golden, CO. We have a strong team of returning hosts, many of whom return because they love the sense of community they feel with other hosts and park staff. We have additional opportunities for site maintenance and interpretation /education that allow for a flexible schedule.

Amenities:

In exchange for volunteer service, hosts receive a free full hookup campsite in a beautiful location! On site coin operated laundry facility is available. Cellular reception is unreliable in most areas of the park but TMobile and AT&T has good cell service and hotspot reception in the Reverend's Ridge Campground. Satellite reception is dependent upon set-up/provider.
