This high meadow park with large reservoir is located at 8600 feet in elevation. Volunteer hosts assist with day-to-day park functions, including but not limited to: checking campers in, fee collection, maintaining clean campgrounds and facilities (campsites & bathrooms), providing first aid when necessary, light-duty maintenance and trash pickup, and alerting park staff to problems or suspicious situations. Hosts must be able to lift up to 75lbs. Good public relations skills are required. Successful hosts just need a love for the great outdoors and a tolerance for fast changing mountain weather!
Amenities: Campground host sites are equipped with 30 amp electrical service, water, and sewer hookups.

Pairs and individuals are accepted, and hosts are permitted to have pets as long as they abide by State Park regulations at all times.
20 hours per person per week. Desired time commitment is mid-April through end of September, but Memorial Day to Labor Day is highest need.
The Backcountry Campground Liaison position focuses on educating the public on the Leave No Trace principles, participates in trail work and restoration projects, and may assist with education events and campaigns when helpful to the park.
