North Sterling is a water-based recreation area (3,000 acres of water/1,500 acres of land) on Colorado's eastern plains offering a variety of recreation opportunities including fishing (walleye, wiper, catfish), boating, swimming, and hiking.
Volunteer host responsibilities include:
Hosts should be willing to help maintenance staff with campground duties and be comfortable speaking to visitors who have questions regularly.
Elevation: 3,200 ft.
Looking for 2-4 hosts for the 2023 season. Pairs, individuals, families with children, and people who are still working/in their careers (e.g. working remotely) are welcome to apply. Hosts are permitted to have pets.
40 hours per week per couple (20 hours per person).
Minimum time commitment: May 15 - Labor Day
Desired time commitment: April - Labor Day
Amenities:
In exchange for volunteer service, hosts receive a free campsite with full hookups (water, sewage, electric (50 amp)), cell service, covered parking and a lockable storage area at site. Covered picnic areas also available at your site.
North Sterling is a large reservoir with recreation opportunities, and is near a town and other front range attractions.
